   For the DDP3.11.26 updater for Lion OSX look for the Info.datx file in Resources and trash this instead of the update plist file mentioned.!!!

    Cannot trash the update.plist file anymore.  Has been modified to READ-ONLY file, and cannot edit.

    Hi; whether it is update.plist or info.datx, there is a way to forcibly delete this file.  Your mac osx is sitting atop a linux machine, so you have linux access.  If you find the program called terminal, you can use the command cd to navigate to and then inside the package.  Once you have located the file you can do: sudo rm update.plist … it may well ask you for a password, but assuming you put that in correctly, the file will be deleted and install will work.  (it just did for me, after running into the same problem you did.)   Please note, sudo’ing things on your machine can be hazardous if you don’t know what you’re doing… don’t go crazy with it.

    A note to all; if you have not yet upgrade to OSX Mountain Lion, you might want to delay… the EOS utility does not work in it and a patch/upgrade date is not yet known (at least after a brief search.)

    Not working. I have a 7D and am running 10.7.5. Downloaded the software and it will not allow me to delete the file via Terminal. Any help is much appreciated.
