Monitoring on camera is one thing, but when you need to extend your monitor to a director or a video village, life can be a bit more difficult. We’ve seen several options, such as the Teradek Cube and Gefen‘s various HDMI extenders, but nothing that was very affordable.

Now there are a few options out that break the sub-$200 price bracket, the Asus Wicast and Brite-View Air SyncHD.

HotHardware recently demonstrated both of these in action.
