At NAB we grabbed an interview with Technicolor about their new CineStyle preset for the Canon 5D MkII. After much anticipation, the preset is now available for download…oh, and it’s FREE!
So far it seems to be a winner by offering better latitude than the previously popular “Super flat” preset that many people have been using. Of course, when using the CineStyle preset, you will have to color correct all of your footage in post to avoid a flat looking final product. But with the extra latitude the CineStyle preset provides you, you can more easily choose how you want the final product to look.
