Today it was announced that GoPro, makers of popular extreme sports digital video camera, has acquired CineForm, a leading developer of video compression and workรฏยฌโow technology for the professional รฏยฌยlm and television industry. This acquisition will result in GoPro utilizing CineForm compression in their soon to be released 3D HERO System, an expansion accessory for GoProรขโฌ™s 1080p HD HERO line of cameras.
