DSLR shooters move over, there’s a new standard for epic wedding films. Tonica Tran filmed this beautiful wedding video using two RED Epic cameras shooting from 24fps all the way up to 300fps. He mentions that by shooting on the Epic, it eliminated the need to shoot stills separately.
The fact that any frame in this entire video can be pulled as a 14 megapixel (5120×2160) hi res still, that you can print a billboard size photo out of, is MIND BLOWING.
Check out the trailer below and head over to Tonica’s blog for more details on the shoot.

So what would we have to charge to cover a weekend’s rent on a pair of these suckers?

First, you need a pair of professional actors like in this video…then ya need the gear.
more interested in what “stillmotion” would do with red epics…the only cool thing about this trailer is the slow mo…everything else, unmemorable.
I think it’s very unmemorable as well. Such beautiful footage felt to me as if it was wasted. I don’t think the whole trailer should have been slow-mo…just made it drag on and on.รย

Its a wedding, what do u expect? รย It is awesome, the quality of the image. รย Slowmo works in that context. รย Weddings are a different ball game, you want those cliche emotions to show up everywhere. รย Its a real wedding I suppose. รย A real wedding that looks like a film. รย Wow. รย When was the last time you watched somebody else’s wedding?รย
Great video… I shot weddings too in Brazil, and I’ll start shooting with red scarlet and epic as well…
I think you could invest more time on post production… it needs to look different from others cameras… more time on redcine or maybe Davinci… รย anyway… a great video…
