The Zoom H4n is a very popular mobile recorder for video productions.  It’s an essential tool for HDSLR shoots allowing you to record up to two XLR mics directly to a SD card.

Yesterday, Zoom released version 1.70 of their firmware.  One of the major updates was to allow independent level controls for each XLR input.  Up till now, both XLR inputs operated on the same level control.
