Electronic viewfinders were all the rage at NAB 2011, but Redrock’s highly anticipated model has yet to see production.
According to Redrock’s Facebook page they felt that the $750 price tag of most other EVFs was “too expensive”.
What’s needed is an EVF that maintains our vision of a compact, lightweight, full-featured accessory, but at about half the price of current offerings: our target is $375 or less. With that as our goal, we continue to refine our design and feature set of the microEVF.

Ha-ha-ha, another one of the industry’s notoriously fabulous vaporwares. It was “announced” by Red Rock a full year ago, but so far, nobody had as much as seen it, let alone shot with it. He-he-he-he, how sad, hmmm? รย It’s so sad, it’s actually damn funny!!! รย I mean, the company that made the announcement had “dropped the price” of it back in May 2011 to $375. Yippie-doo! Trouble is, the darn thing still does not exist, it is pure invisible and in the vaporoid state, in other words. Duuuh…. Thanks, Red Rock Micro. It’s been… “real.”
