Panasonic GH1 3D Rig

gh13d

The guys at Beampath are working on a Panasonic 3D stereoscopic rig. I’ve seen several side-by-side 3D rigs with the GH1, but this is the first GH1 3D rig design I’ve seen that utilizes beam splitter technology.

According to their website, they tried working the 5D MkII but were unable to get a firmware hack that would provide adequate sync. However, the GH13 firmware hack is providing to be a better solution.

Beampath is looking to the online community for help to make the dream project a reality. Click here to find out more information.

The rig posted here is the 3D-BS INDIE (beam-splitter) rig by the 3D Film Factory. It’s superior to the DIY rigs for it’s high-grade glass performance and camera mounts that allow for X-Y-Z axis movement for perfect picture alignment. You can see more at http://www.3DFilmFactory.com

    AFFORDABLE, PROFESSIONAL 3D BEAM-SPLITTER RIG

The 3D Camera Rig pictured in the photo is the INDIE (stereoscopic beam-splitter) RIG made by the 3D Film Factory. It’s a very affordable, accurate solution for the money and much less expensive than competitive systems. It’s also far superior to any of the DIY rigs because of it’s high-grade opti-glass (they use low-grade teleprompter glass) and specialty camera mounts that allow for X-Y-Z axis movement for perfect picture alignment.

Metabones and Conurus announce Canon EF to Sony NEX E-mount smart adapter(1)

If you shoot on a Sony E-mount camera like the FS100, then one of the most frustrating parts is using Canon EF lenses. To date, there have only been options for “dumb adapters” which either require you to set your aperture with a separate Canon camera or with an iris wheel built into the adapter.
