The BBC is one of the world’s top leaders in broadcast. They have some of the highest quality standards out there, so being willing to accept HDSLR footage is huge. According to Philip Bloom the BBC first dismissed HDSLRs for aliasing and moire issues. But after further review they are now willing to accept HDSLR footage on a case-by-case basis.

Just another way that HDSLRs are becoming more and more accepted in the broadcast industry. Hopefully this might help more great TV pilot ideas get off the ground.
